Lake Lure Village Resort
Rich in history dating back decades, the site of Lake Lure Village Resort was once the Chimney Rock Camp For Girls. Preservation of some original buildings and homes adds to the charm of this community. When this 125 acre property in the Blueridge Mountain Foothills was developed in the mid 1970s, the Founders called it their “Camelot in the Mountains”. After all, it has streams, waterfalls, massive boulders, wildlife, and picturesque views of Rumbling Bald Mountain.
Today, Lake Lure Village Resort has approximately 160 residential lots and 80 homes. The community has two gated sections, the Village and the Ridge, both with amazing lake views from some lots. Keeping in theme with the original camp, the roads are gravel and approximately one third of the property is devoted to greenbelt common areas.
Lake Lure Village Resort has two marinas with 1800 feet of shoreline, 61 boat slips, and storage for 40 kayaks. Residents and their guests enjoy exclusive private amenities including a sandy beach, lakefront gazebos, and picnic tables. A rare find, the community also offers boat storage.
The location is ideal, just a mile from downtown Lake Lure and Chimney Rock State Park. Close to the line between Rutherford County and Polk County, the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) is just a short 15 minute drive. All the conveniences, restaurants, theatres, tourism attractions, and more are in nearby Hendersonville and Asheville.
We are located downtown in the Lake Lure Commerce Building, just around the corner from Lake Lure Village Resort. The real estate Brokers on the Mr. Lake Lure Team will give you a tour of the community and the marina. Explore the lots and homes for sale, and maybe you’ll find a new vacation home destination!
